Masonic Hall

Each time that I enter a Masonic Hall,
I envision the history standing tall.

I feel the awesome burden we bear,
As I see our ancestors standing there.

Solomon, Washington, Truman and more,
It's exactly the same, this Lodge Room floor.

From eons of history, the men of all faiths,
Have met on the level in this kind of place.

A place where greatness is measured we find,
Not in power, position, religion or kind.

But common men, inspired one and all,
To a nobler, better and higher call.

I pray we continue to plant these seeds,
And set the example through personal deeds.

Our Nation, our families depend upon us,
To pass on the banner of honor and trust.

We owe the future the knowledge and light,
Of what we all know is the true and the right.

Square

The fourth part of a circle
an Angle of ninety degrees.
An emblem worn proudly by Masons
for all the world to see.
It reminds us to follow the Golden Rule,
using Virtue to guide our way.
Squaring our actions with God and man
in our living from day to day.
