Like to play with words? Brother Chris Christianson certainly does and he challenges my thinking
everytime I open an e-mail from him. The following word plays are "semi-forms" of both the Haiku and Renga as

Besides the Japanese poetry forms, I'd also recommend googling "concrete poetry" for poetry
that depends on its typographical presentation to enhance its meaning. For more concrete poetry on this site,

Brother Christianson writes: Bro. Gerald, the below versions are more visually accurate. The second is the most accurate it can be in two dimensions, but the least understandable. I sort of like "Semi-ku" for something honoring the tradition, but not following the rules of Haiku.
